This past Saturday, March 7, 2026, our OBOB (Oregon Battle of the Books) team was reminded that we never stand alone. While the competition challenged our knowledge and nerves, the support surrounding us made all the difference. Ms. Davis and Mr. Wainwright gave up their weekend time to be there in person. Cheering quietly, smiling proudly, and showing us just how much they believe in the team.

A special thank you goes to Mrs. Bouck, who has coached our team for several years and continues to pour her heart into the program. From holding extra meetings to reading every book and preparing the team for competition, her dedication goes far beyond the school day.

OBOB is more than a contest, it is a community built on encouragement, commitment, and a shared love of reading. We are fortunate to have teachers who show up every step of the way.

An extra shout-out to Lacey Smith, Shawna Davis and Bronwyn Morris for coming to cheer us on!

Colton Elementary will be on a three-hour delay on Thursday, 1-29-26. The Colton Middle and High schools will be on their regular schedule.

Due to a large number of students and staff being out due to illness this week at Colton Elementary, the district has decided to have a three-hour delay to do a full disinfection of the building.

If we need to close the elementary school due to too few staff who report to work, we will notify you by 8 am.

Please read the letter from Principal Buckner for additional information and expectations for students who attend Colton Elementary tomorrow.
