Colton School District uses the FlashAlert system for communication of emergency school closures.  FlashAlert informs local media outlets and can send messages to those who have signed up on FlashAlert to be on the district mailing list. Please be sure you are signed up to receive these notices. 

We will do our best to also send out notices to our staff and families using our own internal system but we use FlashAlert as our official notification program.

 Winter weather brings uncertainty and can cause unexpected delays, closures, or the utilization of snow bus routes. The decision to keep school open, to close, or to have a delayed opening is based on our ability to safely transport students to and from school. It is very important for a family to have a plan with their student on what they should do in the event that school is let out early.
