Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to the 2018/2019 School Year
It has been my pleasure to serve the Colton School District since 2004 when I was hired as a teacher at the middle school and it has been my honor to serve as the CHS Principal for the last two years. I am thrilled to begin working with the middle and elementary school students, staff, and families! Since 2004 I have been a teacher, coach, Dean of Students, and Athletic Director at the middle and high schools and have consistently found that we have wonderful staff, students, parents, and community members here in Colton. It is my intention that no matter what building I am in we continue to make our community proud by honoring these traditions of excellence. Our goal as a staff is to challenge our students to develop the skills they will need to be successful after high school. This includes academic skills such as reading, math, and critical thinking skills, as well as employment skills such as work ethic, personal management, teamwork, and communication. Additionally, our students are expected to demonstrate responsibility and respect to all while our staff endeavor to model the same. It has been with awe and deep appreciation that I have witnessed these two characteristics carried out by our students time and time again and is one of the many reasons I am so proud to be a Viking!
As we move through this school year I welcome your interest in the work we are doing with our students and the many activities our students participate in. We believe wholeheartedly that all of our students should be growing and learning and that they all have something positive to add to our school. We value our parents, guardians, and community members as well for your knowledge of your students and your incredible support. Should you have feedback or questions at any time, please feel free to contact us. We are here to serve the needs of our students, and, ultimately, contribute to our community by helping our students to become compassionate, responsible, and contributing citizens.
