I was raised in the Clarkes District of Beavercreek. I attended Molalla High School and went to Southern Oregon University for both my Undergraduate and Master's degrees. After receiving my Master's Degree in Teaching, I taught two years in bush Alaska and two years in Rainier, Oregon. I then took a couple years off to be a stay at home mom. I have 2 daughters, Zoe (23 months) and Naomi (9 months). I enjoy hanging out with my kids and husband, being outside with my 6 year old dog, Prince Charming, camping and painting. I truly believe that I learn just as much from my students as they learn from me and working together in a collaborative manner creates a classroom conducive to learning. I am so excited to teach in the community I grew up and live in, and be a part of such a wonderful learning environment.

    Carly Madlem – 4th Grade

I spent my entire childhood in the farming town of Odessa, WA where my family continues to grow wheat. I migrated to Seattle to earn my Bachelor's in Fine Arts and Elementary Education from Seattle Pacific University. After nearly 12 years there working in food service, subbing, teaching Kindergarten, earning my Master's from University of Phoenix and meeting my husband (Michael), we moved to Canby with the promise of a new job for my husband. We were excited to leave the city and its traffic for a smaller-town life. I spent 2013-14 working as an Instructional Assistant in primary and intermediate Communications classrooms and subbed in the area the following year after the birth of our first child, Charlotte. I had the adventure of teaching middle school math in Molalla two years ago, and the past school year, 2nd grade in North Clackamas. I am delighted to take on 3rd grade in Colton and excited to be a part of a small community once again. While working with children has always been a passion for me, I also enjoy being a mom. Our second child, Ezekiel, was born this June. I love cooking and baking and have worked as a baker in professional kitchens. I play softball most summers, play music in our church community, and love being creative. I always got giddy about buying new school supplies as a kid and, frankly, school supplies still make me happy. I am looking forward to meeting all those I will be working with--parents, teachers and students!

Kaci Bleau (bl-o, like plateau) – 3rd Grade

I grew up in Canby and graduated from Canby High School. I went on to attend Marylhurst University twice, graduating with a Masters of Arts in Teaching. I have one year of teaching experience but many years of experience as a substitute.  I have been married to my husband Josh for almost 11 years and a mother to twin 21 month old daughters, Mackenzie and Natalie. In my spare time, when I have any, I love to cook, read and swim. I am looking forward to working with everyone on staff, the students and their families.

    Becky Riddle – 1st Grade
